SARNIA, Ontario — With the exception of a few games this week, the holiday break is in full swing from coast to coast in the CCAA.
Last week provided a ton of excitement across the country as teams continued to build momentum ahead of the second semester as they look to make a run at a league championship. Performances from the last week also created intriguing story lines that will play out starting in January.
The top of the rankings in the CCAA didn’t see much movement, as the top teams in the country continued their winning ways. The bottom half of the rankings saw some movement, including the Seneca Sting dropping out of the top 10 and other teams sliding up one spot as a result.
Over the week, there were several impressive individual performances that helped teams pick up some much-needed wins ahead of the Christmas break. In fact, five players from the four conferences still in action stood out above the rest. Those five student-athletes make up this week’s edition of the Starting Five.
